A beautiful morning.... apart from a wild fire :-(

Woke this morning to a gorgeous view. I love when the cloud rest in the hollows. There is a road weaving through the trees where there are often deer.

The only negative today was the large stretch of smoke rising from the clouds (see my blipfolio).
We saw a huge plume of smoke last night but thought it was someone burning whins (gorse). Turns out that it was a wild fire that was out of control and was still burning this morning. On the news and internet - fire fighters were back first thing trying to get it under control. Internet reported it as being 3 miles wide by 2 1/2 miles! Feel sorry for all the wildlife that will have been affected.....

Yet again I am amazed at the response to yesterdays blip. Two days in a row on the Spotlight - wow! Thank you so so much for all the wonderful comments and visits to my blip. It is so lovely to have such nice things said about simple photographs!
