Shadow Lands

Shadow lands, yes. This world that we live in is but a shadow of what we are, what we will be. C. S. Lewis had it right in so very many areas. I have read nearly all he ever wrote including some of his sermons. If I recall, the book he called shadow lands was a result of his understanding of the Kingdom as well as a picture of the lads chained in a cave from Platos work, The Republic in book 7. The individuals described could only see shadows on a wall and for them that was their entire reality. When one escapes and sees what was making the shadows and the reality of color (colour) he is astounded at the reality of all that everyone in the cave is missing in their understanding and comes back into the cave to tell his friends. But of course, the sun has blinded him to the darkness so it takes time to adjust and tell of all he has seen. The friends think he has gone crazy and that the reality they have always known is the only reality.
How so like the friends we have that think we have gone off our rocker when we tell of another reality that we have seen. For those who have escaped the cave welcome.
