Those of you who have looked at previous blips of mine may not be surprised to hear that I had my eyes tested today.

I quite like going to the opticians, unlike the dentist, physio, GP etc. It has the benefit of being warm, dark, pain free and mildly interesting (especially if you go the whole hog and have them 'image' the inside of your eye). The downside of course is that it can be a monstrously expensive hour's entertainment. Fortunately, and somewhat surprisingly, I escaped today without needing anything new (and my prescription is so complicated I get the test free).
