Anstruther Scottish Fisheries Museum

For our Tuesday out, Mrs P and I went to Anstruther. After lunch at the Anstruther Fish Bar (recommended!) we went into the Scottish Fisheries Museum. There is a lot to see, and the rambling collection of buildings is nearly as interesting as the contents.

This is the hull of the Zulu class fishing boat Research. It's a shame that more of her hasn't survived.

The highlight of a short walk along the coastal path afterwards was seeing a herd of goats run to a cave for shelter when it came on to rain (and hail). I think they must be quite a bit smarter than sheep, or perhaps just dislike rain more. Sadly the picture isn't up to much - it was raining hard and the only shelter was, well, full of goats and the disadvantages implied by that.
