Tussock Tales

The Gold Standard

The Boss went off and left me with The Bossess today as he wanted to return to a photo spot and also had MY Friend Peter and K with him and was doing a bit of a round trip to Arrowtown to see a photo exhibition. I didn't really mind as there would not have been enough room in the car and I spent lots of time with The Bossess which was nice for a change. You see I can be nice and helpful if asked politely. The colours of the local trees varies usually with the winter temperatures and Wanaka had an amazingly mild winter which has shown in the local trees but move a few k's to Cromwell or Alex and the story changes dramatically.
This shot was at Jacksons Beach on Lake Dunstan and the late afternoon light was doing wonderful things.
Notice the little bit of green on the tops. The colour process was ongoing.
Oh yes, for the international folk the trees are Poplars.
