Funny what you find...

...stuffed up the chimney....

Not this cake obviously but the platter it is sitting on.
We've turned our snooker room into a living room (turning our living room into a kids sitting/games/study/chaos room) and had the chimney swept ready for use. The chimney sweep got three large bin-liners of debris (twigs & soot etc) out before getting his rods stuck 8 meters up. So it looks like The Farmer will have to get on to our exceptionally high roof and shove his drainage poles down the chimney to clear the blockage. I'm sure he'll look forward to that!

It was funny to see this huge (about 15" across) white platter come out of the chimney though. I think past residents must have stuck it up there to stop birds coming down the chimney. It was covered in large tinfoil balls!
We've given it a jolly good clean up now though.

With the horrid wet weather, I decided to bake Banana Caramel Blondies and hide indoors, so no lamb blips today. But here are my blondies on my chimney platter!
