Beauty Rings

This old girl is part of the new colony of bees that have arrived in the mail today. As my father was nestling the new comers into their hive, this bee was flounting around on his back, as if she was asking for a picture to be taken.
I liked this photo because it shows how vibrant the stripes on a honey bee actual are.
