El Camino

¡Salud!

What an amazing day! So grateful for a wonderful time
We started early at 7.45am with a private guide who took us through the outstanding La Doñana National Park in a vintage LandRover Defender. We saw so much from Turtle Doves to Flamingoes; from fallow deer to foxes - but we didn't spot the illusive Iberian Lynx; although the LandRover before us did :-(

(I'm doing a piece on the park so will link to the clipping in my blog. It will come out next month to coincide with the annual El Rocio Romeria).

Now we're in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, famous for horse racing on the beach and of course Manzanilla wine, a delicate type of fino (the port is close to Jerez, home of sherry).

Tomorrow Jerez and lunch with friends.

¡Vive Andalucía!
