Boomtown China

From Dell Hell to Apple...

I had a Dell laptop for several years. We shared a rather fractious relationship in a great part due to Dell's enormously, robotically annoying after-sales care.

One day the Dell died.

Buy a new PC or a Mac? Mac, hhmm, expensive!

As I was debating what to buy I heard Stephen Fry describe an instance where he had to use a PC. He used a very powerful metaphor and likened the experience to working in a 1980s office with strip lighting.

Of course this made me buy the Mac. My tempestuous relationship with PCs now only appears when I go to work.

Oh, and the draconian censorship of the Internet in China tests one's patience whether using a PC or a Mac!
