Surf 'n turf

On Lady Elliot Island at the bottom end of the Great Barrier Reef, while the terns busy themselves diving for fish out in the lagoon, the egrets scour the water's edge and the tidal pools at low tide, looking for their prey. At high tide they prowl up and down the surf line looking for a meal, but they also have to keep an eye out for eager photographers trying to creep up on them from the undergrowth at the top of the beach!
