Hope Springs Eternal

Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest:
The soul, uneasy and confin'd from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.

-Alexander Pope,
An Essay on Man, Epistle I, 1733

When one life ends, there are always many who are just beginning. The cheerful sound of children playing hand games...you know the kind, where first you clap, then you clap the hands of the other, while together you sing a little song...floats across the same church where Mother Comfort, just yesterday rested in her final farewell. It's the sound of hope, springing up in the voices of children at play. The joyful sound of sisters who are in sinc with one another, hearts united, while a sweet friend watches in anticipation of the time her turn will come.

Simply beautiful.
