Toadstool

We visited a friend's house in the North Tyne Valley this afternoon and found the lawn scattered with these fungi, so out came the camera of course. We saw a beautiful Barn Owl there too. The place had wonderful views and was sooo peaceful. Drove back via the Roman Wall, the evening melting into mistiness, not to a glass of wine but to sort out the horses and dogs. Lovely day though!
