~Beguilingly Beautiful~

Gorgeous and rugged.
Would love to hike
to the top some day.
I went for a ramble
here, not long ago.
Made it about an eighth
of the way up the picture.
Took me all day to go up
and back down again.
And didn't even get to
the base of the mountain.
This image shows a vertical
rise of about 3,500 feet
Very uneven and craggy.
With a lot of cactus and
very thorny undergrowth.
Not to mention the rocks
and boulders one must traverse.
And then there is the everpresent
bears, pumas, and snakes, oh my!
One day I'll get to the top!
When I sprout wings. ;o))
