The moment of take-off!

It was a glorious 18C day with very light winds on New Brighton Beach today. We spent several hours walking along the beach, and came across some powered paragliding (or paramotoring). The pilot (at the rear here) wears a motor on his back. The motor provides enough thrust to take off, so it can be launched in still air, and on level ground.

It was a perfect day for soaring above the waves and the sand dunes.
