Dr Story opened by remarking that it was nice to see a Full House with an audience of about 180. Then he mentioned that his eight o'clock class this morning of about 140 students had about 100 absences.

Later he showed a slide defining terms for opening and closing of the vocal cords. He metioned that those 100 absent students would miss two quenstions on the next exam.
