On Lapwing Lake

This poor fellow got absolutely drookit in a torrential downpour. He did his best to dry out when it finally stopped. I was dry in the hide.

Yesterday was ANZAC Day and there were many tributes on Blip. I had intended to add my own but with one thing and another I ended up putting up an emergency blip quite late in the day.

This is a beautiful song by the Scottish singer/songwriter Eric Bogle who emigrated to Australia. It is a beautiful tribute to those who lost their lives in WW1 and at the same time is a powerful anti-war song.
