turning a new leaf (or bud, as the case may be)

Quick blip today, as I didn't have time, really, to venture farther than my yard. It was odd to see this little bit of spring while the rest of my yard is being painted in the colors of fall. Geraniums are perennials in California, where I used to live. I was surprised to learn that they're considered annuals in New England. Learning to garden in a different climate zone is sometimes like learning a new language.
