This time we were collecting ponderosa pine cones. These suckers have these nasty spines on the ends of the cone scales. Made for lots of poked fingers. We only raided 3 squirrel caches this time, much to the dismay and angry chattering of the squirrels. the rest were gathered from the ground or the tree.
