Just a parcel

A couple of weeks ago Mrs P asked for some Red Roses cologne from Jo Malone. All went well at first and JoM sent an email to say the item had been despatched on the 17th and gave a tracking number. Using the tracking number it appeared the carrier was YODEL (as in you might as well yodel for your parcel, or whistle for it) and it arrived in their Inverness depot last Saturday at 13:10. I had never heard of Yodel and strangely there seemed no way of getting a telephone number for the depot from the site. Googling "Yodel Inverness" brought up lots of vitriolic complaints - not a good sign. Mrs P rang a company called AAG as we were told they covered for Yodel in Inverness. The nice lady there groaned at the mention of Yodel, told Mrs P it was actually Parcel Linq (so spelt) she needed, gave a 'phone number but said "they never answer it" which turns out to be indeed the case. This morning according to the tracking service the parcel was still in the depot. So down to the depot I went. Yes indeed they did cover for Yodel. And after a few minutes the package was in my hands so back home in yet more pouring rain. Now just hope Mrs P actually likes the stuff. Not much of a blip but this thing has been bugging me all week.
