CORNER ON THE ROUND

This is the corner of BROUGHTON STREET and BARONY STREET. This is a street I used to go down on the way school. I went to the secondary school at the bottom of the hill , then called bellevue now drummond high. I used to hurry home to comely bank to deliver news papers. I did a round in the morning and at four o'clock six days a week. The wages had just gone up from seventeen shillings
to a pound when I started. The shop gave us all a bag of sweets on a Wednesday
afternoon. My brother gave me a hand when I was running late.
