Heron on the Potomac River

- I drove to East Potomac Park this morning which is between the Potomac River and the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC. There were a couple of joggers and fisherman out, me, and numerous ducks, seagulls, and this single Heron.

Seeing this beautiful bird (not that common in this area) was a perfect way to start the day. Look at the larger image here.
