Have you tried sniffing?

Very wet and grey day but this statue, part of a huge fountain, was full of glistening highlights. When I was small we lived in an unheated farmehouse - a stream ran under the flagstone floor of the dining room and often my mother would have a drip on the end of her nose. Our hint to her was 'aren't the flowers in the center of the table pretty' and immediately a handkerchief would be taken out and the offending droplet removed. Later on central heating was installed and the stream diverted into a pipe so no reminders were needed but I told my grand children about it and one day they decided to put the phrase to the test - it worked and a handkerchief came out immediately. How's that for 55 years on!
