Rain, wind & hail

With the impending Etape du Dales cycle sportive being ever closer, arrangements had been made to 'put in some miles' on the bike today with the 'full team'. The idea was 84 miles of glorious Yorkshire Dales countryside in good enough weather to enjoy the many hills as well a couple of en route watering holes for much needed refueling.
WRONG!
The reality was the usual 45 mile Sunday ride but with this being a battle with the elements up only as far as Kettlewell, encountering strong winds all the way (it never seems to be on your back does it?), hail like someone flicking needles at your face and rain,
Unlike Earthdreamery who had the foresight to set off early(does this man sleep?) thus return early. We were on the road at 7.30am and caught the full wrath of the worst of it as we neared home.
Hey, Ho!...one to forget

Congrats to Earthdreamery on his 365th blip - This guy is well worth following by the way. I walk in his shadow with his excellent blips and cycling prowess!
