Two proud (and protective) parents

Managed to pop out for a cycle ride in between showers this afternoon, and wouldn't have noticed these if I hadn't been quite so knackered. Two little baby chicks on the other side of the road with their parents. But by the time I stopped my bike, and crossed the road the parents had safely hidden them away down the side of the river bank. Maybe it was my fluorescent yellow rain jacket than frightened them! They did give me some queer looks!
