Yesterday was a downtime day, mostly. One of my workshop participants wasn't feeling well, so he spent the day resting at the hotel. We spent the morning reviewing images so far. I gave feedback and we discussed technique/methods. After lunch, Bob stayed behind while Margaret and I went out to the Yaquina Bay light and beach. I didn't take any photos yesterday, hence, no Blip.

Today, we traveled down to Yachats, stopping at a couple places along the way. A bit of indecision regarding the evening location due to uncertainty about the weather. Cloudy or partly cloudy? Colorful sunset or overcast? Lighthouse or beach? When we pulled out from the B&B we're staying at for the night, a break in the clouds and blue sky (and a quick stop at the beach) made us opt for both. Lighthouse first, to get sun from the cloud break, then beach for the sunset and hope for color.

We ended up staying at the lighthouse.

This was shot after sunset with the light refracting from surf spray and forming fog.

Tomorrow it's supposed to rain. Last full day of the workshop. We're taking it as it comes.
