The Gaudie

In 1800 a chap called John Honey (sweet name right?) swam out into cold seas to help sailors on a ship in distress. He swam out and back five times all in all. To commemorate this badassery St Andrews students hold a procession along the old pier.

Maybe I will be heroic someday, and have people walk in single file in my memory too.
But, for now, I'll just drink my beer until the sun comes up when it's back down to the beach for the May Dip.
