The Pantheon

Our final morning, we left our hotel around 9am but were waylaid by a free breakfast from the hotel manager, over which we did a quiz in a French magazine. We got the metro to the latin quarter, where we saw the Pantheon and Foucault's incredible pendulum inside. We saw all the tombs of the famous people of France as well!

Next was a trip down Rue Mouffetard, a cute little street with lots of cafes and bars. I had a canele, and then lunch was outside a small cafe that did a great tartine. We then got the metro back up to the Champs Elysees to see Abercrombie and Fitch, but the queue outside was horrendous so we ended up going back to the hotel to get our stuff, popping into the supermarche and then heading off to Gare du Nord to catch the Eurostar back to London.

All in all it all worked out very well, and we had a very successful trip! Seeing as how under 26s from the EEC don't have to pay to see any attractions, it was also a lot cheaper than it could have been!
