Yes indeed, the weather station at the beginning of the West Pier indicated 12.3 degrees (Celsius, you bet!)
Under shelter. Without taking into account the wind chill factor. Which, according to Wikipedia is the apparent temperature felt on exposed skin (and which is significantly lower than the temperature under shelter, taken by a fancy measuring device that has no or little skin to expose...)
Hence my amazement at seeing this guy walk the pier with as much skin exposed a humanly and decently possible, from January 1st to December 31st, as long as the sun is shining.


PS: The walker is indeed bare-chest and wearing a pair of shorts.
