Deal of the day

Quick jaunt to London today - the early flight to City (exactly the same as a week ago). Not so grey this time, but not that great either. At least it was a productive meeting, with everyone seeming positive as we departed.

Lots of security around the area, there had been a bit of a protest last night apparently and a fact tea shop seemed to have taken the brunt of the mob anger with a smashed window. It's always the posh tea shops that get it, I guess they're asking for it though. At least coffee is a necessity for late night (or early morning) mobs, posh tea is just a capitalist luxury.*

Biscotti, it turns out, is just a money spinning scam for coffee shops - that's where they are stinging the masses. However, the newly-coffee-machined-up Mr M did appreciate the trip over to my go-to coffee place near our London offices, and happily left with a flat white and a bag of freshly roasted an ground beans. Sorted.

One last note about the shot - the intent look on the guy's face is being caused by his utter mistrust for the Scottish fiver I have just handed him and his ongoing search for a flaw/reason to hand it back. In his defence, it was a Clydesdale Bank note.

* On a completely unrelated note, had some nice green tea with sea buckthorn last night, not usually my kind of thing, but really rather good.
