Life is like a river

Big books

...are good company when you're temporarily bedridden.

Yesterday I read the memoirs of Vilborg Dagbjartsdóttir, an excellent teacher and poet (born in 1930).

Today I'm reading the biography of a remarkable man who lived in Siglufjörður for most of his life. His name was Bjarni Þorsteinsson, b. 1861- d. 1938, a priest, composer and scholar. He is best known for having collected the Icelandic folk songs.
