Apparently democracy got started in Greece in 400 or 500 BC, so it's been going for about 2500 years.

I've been taking part for about 1.4% of the time, via a small grey portakabin on Heol-y-Gors.

I don't know where these portakabins live when they're not in use during elections, but I enjoy seeing them emerge, blinking in the light of day. In fine weather, it's also nice to see people walking to cast their votes - it seems to be the only time when there are a lot of people out walking.
