Stockbridge

We finished the set at our tai chi class this evening and were invited by one of the group to go round the corner to her house for a celebratory glass of wine. It was the first time I'd been in one of these houses in a Georgian terrace off Raeburn Place. They bought it for £1000 in 1971 when Stockbridge was a slum and taxis ferried sailors between the port at Leith and a couple of brothels round the corner from this house.

The garden was lovely, especially the colour of these blooms against the grey stone walls.
