Day 14: Our last full day on holiday, trying to pack in a lot of stuff, but it has been fantastic, and we have done so much. Must definitely take some more 2 week trips.

In the late afternoon, we head west to Red Rock Canyon.

It looks wonderful, but this is the heart of the Mojave Desert and it is super-hot - even this late in the day. It is very quiet and still, with clouds drifting by very slowly and casting areas of shadow which define and deepen the landscape beautifully.
