Swan over the Stones of Stenness

Very sunny here but with a really cold and strong north wind. I walked up Skail road to the hide at Barnhouse. There were about thirteen swallows and a sand martin there, all probably just arrived in the islands from Africa. Further on I saw a great skua ignore the mobbing oystercatchers, lapwings and black-headed gulls to raid a bhg nest and steal either an egg or chick.
Back down the road and I saw this and another swan flying over the stones...I had to crop out one swan together with an intrusive car. A couple of technical issues with the shot but I'm going with it anyway.
