Mrs Cyclops

Rubbish visibility, rubbish photo!

We went down to St Abbs for a bit of sub aqua and I have posted this rubbish photo to show just how poor the conditions were.

Argh, well it wasn't a nice day above water but we thought it might be a bit better under water.

Dive one was poor visibility - 2-3m, as you can see from the picture above. This is Cyclops putting up the Surface Marker Buoy from 12m under. You release it before you ascend, and it marks your place on the surface so that the boat can come and collect you, but not run you over. Compare this to the photo from the same area the other week!

Dive two was worse. The visibility was about 1m and it was very dark. We needed torches to see each other. We have decided dive 2 was the second worst visibility we've ever dived in so that's not good!

Going to the Red Sea next month - expecting quite the opposite diving experience!
