Life. Through my lens.

CRUNCH!

We get to hear plenty of traffic accidents around our area. We are close to the motorway and so the speeds are relatively high. On more than a few occasions we have been woken from our sleep by a long screech of a vehicle under brake lock up followed by a loud (and chilling) BANG! You can usually count the minutes, only 5 to 10 before you hear the ambulance siren on it's way.
Today was another such occasion. We were at the dinner table having a hotdog for lunch when we heard a scraping sound that was so loud it was like there was someone in our yard dragging something across the cement. A little stroll down the street identified the source of the noise. A truck that I estimate as hitting this unfortunate ute at about 70km/ph. The telegraph poles in Queensland are wooden and they DO NOT move when they get hit, which is not so good for anyone who has the misfortune of hitting one.
