Pitlochry

Just back from my birthday trip to Pitlochry - a lovely treat from Daughter No2 - and the first thing I do (well, second, after making a cuppa) is upload all the photos taken over the two days, and write my blip journal.

It's a bit worrying how this blipfoto 'beast' can take over one's life...

Today was beautifully bright and dry but rather chilly. In the morning we enjoyed a walk through woodland on the outskirts of the town and arrived at a bridge at the Hydro Electric station at Pitlochry Dam on Loch Faskally. The eagle-eyed amongst you might be able to make out two anglers at the river's edge.

We popped into the visitor centre at the hydro station, which was very interesting, not only from the engineering/technical aspect, but also regarding the efforts made to preserve the salmon population in the river.

After lunch in the Biba cafe we caught the train to Perth, where we parted company, D2 to travel north to Aberdeen while I headed back home, one happy bunny :)

I now have to do a back-flipblip to yesterday, hoping you'll drop by...
