Spring mist

The lake was beautiful today, what you could see of it. The mist rolled in early and stayed all day. The birches are leafing out, and the boats have yet to make an appearance on this private dock. An utterly still day before the storm of summer tourism starts in two weeks. It's days like these that the lake seems made just for me.
