Carl Craig

We headed through to the Sub Club for Subculture as Carl Craig was appearing there as part of his 69 live tour.

It was a bit off being in the Sub Club for something other than Optimo and I spent the first hour expecting to hear something a bit more off teh wall than the dance stuff the residents were playing. Not that the music wasn't good, it was really good, I just kept expecting to hear something like Talking HEads or Q Lazzarus in there.

When Carl Craig came on he was brilliant, he worked his way through pretty much all of the 69 stuff and a selection of masks. Like I said he played pretty much everything from the 69 eps, Including the track that's never out of my list of my favourite techno tracks.

He played for just over an hour in total. Then it was back to HArri and Domenic. Unfortunately Roz was a bit tired and we had to drop Alex, Billy and Kris back in Edinburgh rather than straight home to Queensferry so we didn't last until four, but it was a great night all the same.
