Do not climb on the buttocks

Apart from being at home for the sea air I was accompanying the mammy on a trip to The Garden of Cosmic Speculation just outside of Dumfries.

It is designed by Charles Jencks who was married to Maggie Keswick Jencks who developed the idea of the wonderful Maggie's Centres.

For one day a year the garden is open to visitors for a small fee. It is a really interesting visit and despite the hunners of visitors it didn't feel too overcrowded (although what an amazing place to grow up in and have to yourself).

I loved the land forms, the railway walk, bridges and ponds but was less taken by some of the sculpture.

Loads of kodak blip moments but I chose this one because on the other side of 'the mound' the sign read - Please do not climb on the buttocks.

And on that childish note we headed home to play with Alfie and Rowan.
