Sunny afternoon

A beautiful day today. We were invited out for lunch by our friends Pippa and Granville. It had been far too long since we last saw them.

We spent the afternoon in their wonderful house and garden, sharing delicious food and drinking wine. Their house is on a suburban street, but the garden was like a park, disappearing down to a lane at the back.

It was like being on holiday - it was most enjoyable to be taken away from our 'to do' list! It was so good to spend a sunny afternoon with friends.
