Beautiful Books

It's cold today! Definitely a good excuse to stay in, especially after the exertions of yesterday.

Trying to read my way through the Orange Prize Shortlist and am about to start this one. A beautiful cover. It has the matt feel about it that I think comes over in the image. You just want to touch it and open it up.

Is it my imagination, or are hardback books getting more and more stylish and appealing? Perhaps it's a ploy to try and stave off the ebook competition.
