Mayday

We were brave today and ventured all the way into Knutsford - brave not because it is about 3 miles from where we live, but brave because it is the famous Knutsford Mayday with a substantial fair which seems to attract a lot of visitors.

We figured Tatton Park would be fairly quiet a) because everyone will be at the fair and b) being bank holiday Monday the weather is rather rubbish. We were right!
Not only was it raining by the time we got to the park but it was incredibly cold and windy. Chester had a good run around though - until we found ourselves very close to a herd of deer (not sure that is the correct term?) I got some ok shots but they were rather gloomy as it was raining.

We took the opportunity to warm up in our favourite coffeehouse in Knutsford the Courtyard cafe. Not only is it a fab place for cakes, scones!! and lunches but it is also a PennyFarthing museum. Lovely little place if you are ever in Knutsford! (Tip: If you turn up on your Pennyfarthing,
the tea and coffee is on the house!!)
Now back home, curled up on the sofa... this morning's adventure has taken it out of me - I guess I am still feeling under the weather with my sinus infection.

Here is to spending Knutsford Mayday in Tatton Park rather than the fair!!
