My Life in My Hands

Race for Light

I'm always amazed by not only the beauty of the bluebell, but their ability to flower before the leaf canopy closes overhead, cutting off their energy supply. Here they are beating carpets of greater stitchwort (can anyone confirm?) too.

Had a nice afternoon/evening walk planned then got the call to fill an evening shift at work, so raced out anyway, and had to run all the downills to get 12 miles of photographs finished in time. Missed the best light of course, but there were plenty of big white reflectors in the sky to soften the shadows
