Capstone

Sky and sea, as I've often remarked, are always interesting, always up to something. Mostly, that something doesn't warrant more than a lingering glance, but driving along the prom in Bray, to visit TP and his family, I had to stop the car and grab my camera. Because this was unusual: the horizon emphasised by a huge level capstone of cloud, bare sky made horizontal, a narrow band, a single pale wavelength of blue, made remarkable, almost precious, by being sat upon, squeezed under that masoned lid.

Earlier, I had been to see my cousin in his studio (a tiny terraced house off the main street), where I'd taken THIS and THIS.
