Forest cliff

A beautiful view from the edge of Rawson Lake in the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park at the edge of the Rockies. It was somewhat misty, rainy and snowy.

I really like the detail and sharp contrasts in the rocks in this picture. I upped contrast and clarity all the way to bring this out; something that almost never works well. To darken the foreground trees I increased the blacks, and for some extra chilliness I took away most of the colour, without making it completely into a grayscale photograph.
