Birthday delight

Today we celebrated friend D.'s 65th birthday. I had already posted a blip for today, but this picture is so joyful I decided to delete that one and replace it with this one. D. treated four of us to a lavish Italian dinner at a restaurant, and her daughter and grandson joined us for dessert. P. and his ex-partner built the cake: two layers of yellow cake and a layer of chocolate cake, interleaved with chocolate mousse and raspberry mousse, topped with a layer of fudge ganache and fresh raspberries. D's grandson helped her blow out the candles.

I was using natural light, but D.'s daughter was taking flash pictures, and this one of mine caught both the daughter's flash and the natural light.
