Someone call for help?

This is Clifton Terrace in London. A week ago a waterpipe burst and water trickled gently down the road for six days until someone decided that since we're in a drought maybe it's best to have it fixed. This morning I made this grizzly discovery but was quite relieved to learn it's just a glove floating in there and not a road maintenance worker.
