In The Occupied Territory

Living on the edge.

Another case for looking up.
If I had not been looking up whist waiting at the traffic lights, I may not have spotted this lonely, solitary tree living on the edge of this building, which is Aberdeen Art Centre.
Formerly the North Church, Aberdeen Arts Centre lies on King Street and is regarded as the finest work of local architect John Smith (1781 - 1852). Built 1829-30, the building benefits from a portico supported in Ionic columns and reflects Smith's great attention to detail. Internally little of Smith's interiors remain following the conversion to the Arts Centre in the 1950s. The centre comprises a 350-seat theatre and meetings rooms, used for performances, talks, conferences and club meetings, together with display space for both local artists and touring exhibitions.
This photo has been tampered with, I mean altered digitally.
Just the colorization and the addition of the "film" edges.
