Non-event Horizon

A kittiwake flying into Tyninghame Bay, East Lothian, with North Berwick Law, the Bass Rock and Fife on the horizon.

Big Non-event.

The weather was confidently forecast for heavy rain, so when I woke to a sunny morning with a strong westerly wind I got out before the weather came in. I walked round to the viewpoint and found a sheltered spot to sit and wait for the birds to fly by. The kittiwakes gather seaweed for their nests round at Dunbar harbour, so there's a regular stream of birds back and forth.

A nice way to spend the morning, and so far this afternoon the weather's improved! So it looks like the rain has rained elsewhere.
